SUBJECT: INVITATION FOR BIDS
This is to advise you that sealed bid proposals for the
City-Side Zone 3 Pump Station on Clearwell #2
CIP 75121 A
will be accepted by the City of Tracy, at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall Second Floor, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California 95376, until:
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2017 @ 2:00 PM
The project is more specifically defined in the plans and specifications, but generally includes the following work to be done:
In general, the work to be done consists of demolition of the existing Zone 3 pump station, construction of an 8.0 million gallon per day (mgd), 5,570 gpm, booster pump station on existing Clearwell #2 to serve the City-side Pressure Zone 3; approximately 500 lineal feet (LF) of above-grade and below grade 12-inch diameter and 20-inch diameter pipeline; three transmission mains from immediately south of Clearwell #2, approximately 1,330 lineal feet (lf) to the western property line; replacement motor starters, electrical conduits and cables; demolition of existing pumps, piping, valves, fittings, and electrical equipment; and all associated piping, valves and appurtenances and all other incidentals not specifically listed under another schedule, but required for a complete installation, complete in place, tested, and ready for operation.
The Engineer’s estimate will not be released until the bids are publicly opened.
In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A General Engineering Contractor’s license or Class B General Building Contractor’s License.
Bids are required for the entire work as described herein, and shall be made upon the Bid Forms included in the attached Bid Documents in accordance with the Notice to Bidders.
