CITY OF TRACY CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC HEARING

The Tracy City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon after as possible, in the Tracy City Council Chambers, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, to consider the following:

PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING MARIJUANA (CANNABIS) – Public hearing to consider an ordinance banning outdoor cultivation, commercial cultivation, manufacturing, and sales of marijuana (cannabis) and delivery of adult use marijuana (cannabis) to allow time for the Planning Commission and City Council to consider reasonable regulations for such uses.

AMENDMENT TO TRACY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 10.08.2560 REGARDING MINIMUM LOT FRONTAGE REQUIREMENT IN THE GENERAL HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL ZONE – The proposal is to amend Tracy Municipal Code Section 10.08.2560 Lot Area (GHC) to change the minimum lot frontage requirement in the General Highway Commercial Zone. This project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), the general rule, because it does not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. The Planning Commission, by a vote of four to zero, with one member absent, recommended approval of this amendment during their regular meeting on August 9, 2017. The applicant is Schack and Company for Tracy Orchard Plaza, L.P. The project planner is Alan Bell, Senior Planner, alan.bell@cityoftracy.org, (209)831-6426.

All interested persons are invited to be present and to submit statements orally or in writing before or during the meeting.

Should you decide to challenge the decision of the City Council, you may be limited to those issues that were raised for consideration at the hearing.

Information concerning this matter may be obtained at the Department of Development Services, 333 Civic Center Plaza, (209)831-6400.
