Tracy Fire Responds to Early Morning Structure FirePosted: Mar 8, 2016
Location: Tracy, Calif.
At approximately 12:28 a.m., Tracy Fire personnel responded to a report of a structure fire in the area of 6th and A Streets in Downtown Tracy. Upon arrival, units found a large commercial building with heavy fire and smoke showing from the roof of a flour mill facility located at 306 W. 6th Street.
Crews forced entry through metal roll-up doors to access the seat of the fire. A second alarm was requested and mutual aid resources responded from the City of Manteca, Lathrop/Manteca Fire District and the Tracy Defense Logistics Agency. It took crews 51 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The fire was contained to the building, and no injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation through a joint effort of the Tracy Fire Department and Tracy Police Department.
