Grand Theatre to Host Intimate Evening in Service of Veterans

"A Moment in Tracy"

Posted: Mar 7, 2016
Location: Tracy, Calif.

Tracy, Calif. “A Moment in Tracy” is a special event and fundraiser in honor of Veterans that will be held on April 9, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Downtown Tracy. The event, presented by the City of Tracy, War Ink and Dentists Organized for Veterans, is aimed at helping the Tracy community and its veterans begin truly meaningful dialogue on how to better understand and support one another in the transition from war to home.

We are truly honored to partner with War Ink and Dentists Organized for Veterans (DOV) to present an event that sheds light on the service, strength and resiliency of our military men and women,” stated Division Manager, Kim Scarlata. “We encourage local and regional community members to participate in this special event, and discover how we can better understand and assist our local veterans.”

The event will feature a discussion panel of military personnel, eminent figures in the veteran service world, doctors and neuroscientists to discuss some of the key critical issues surrounding veterans. The conversation will also include the challenges and opportunities communities encounter when bringing military men and women home from war.

The event will have a silent and grand auction featuring items like a behind-the-scenes tour of Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Grand Theatre Box Office, located at 715 Central Avenue or online at www.atthegrand.org.
