Grand Offers Special Exhibit for the Holiday Season

Art Co-Opted - A Cooperative Exhibition Featuring 30+ Artists & Lenders

The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts presents a special exhibition for the holiday season entitled Art Co-Opted, on display in the Grand Galleries from November 7th - December 19th, 2015.  An Artist Meet-n-Greet and Opening Reception is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

This exhibition is part of Holidays at the Grand, a package of seasonal programming at the Center. Following the Artist Meet-n-Greet is Merry Madness, a holiday shopping event held on Saturday, December 5th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring discounts on gallery purchases and class registrations, the Arts Education Program Art Sale and family-friendly activities. All of these associated events are open to the public.

Over 30 artists and lenders will be featured in the Grand Galleries. Original artwork, limited editions, jewelry, pottery, and artist-designed products are unique gifts available at prices ranging from $5 to $500 through December 19th, 2015.

Featured artists include: Pam Ackles, Judy Altamirano, Jane Burns, Frank Cameron, Randy Crimmel, Bruce Duke, Raul Garcia, Lino Giovacchini, Amy Halko, Don Hall, Tricia Hand, Jeff Haws, Tiffanie Heben, Angela Johal, Mark Knize, Joan Kay Matshushima, Judy Mae Mulleague, Abhilasha Natarajan, Elizabeth Parrish, Hope Rovelto, Susan Richardson and Pat Sanchez.

 Visit the Art Galleries at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts

Public hours for the Grand Galleries are Monday – Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and one hour prior to most performances on the Grand Theatre stages. The Galleries are closed during the month of August and in between feature exhibitions. Featured exhibits are presented in the GWF Energy and Souza Family Galleries. Art Co-Opted in the South Gallery features dozens of artists and lenders. Exhibitions are open to the public.
