45-Day-Long Interim Ordinance to Prohibit City Approvals for Warehousing, Storage, or Distribution Uses for Property Abutting Interstate 205, within the Tracy City Limit, East of Tracy Boulevard

The Tracy City Council will consider adopting an interim ordinance during their regularly scheduled meeting on September 15, 2015. If adopted, the ordinance would prohibit discretionary project and building permit approvals for a temporary, 45-day period, beginning upon adoption, for warehouse, storage, or distribution land uses for property within the Tracy City limit, adjacent to Interstate 205, east of Tracy Boulevard.

The City Council is evaluating options for changes to allowable land uses and design standards along Interstate 205. During the September 15, 2015 meeting, the City Council may adopt an interim ordinance, as indicated above, to be effective while the City Council evaluates potential new land use or design standards. The City Council may extend an interim ordinance for up to two additional years.

The City Council meeting staff report may be found at http://www.ci.tracy.ca.us/documents/20150915_CC_Agenda.pdf or may be obtained at Tracy City Hall, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA 95376. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Bill Dean, Assistant Development Services Director at William.Dean@ci.tracy.ca.us or (209) 831-6427; or Alan Bell, Senior Planner, at Alan.Bell@ci.tracy.ca.us or (209) 831-6426.
