"Start Small, Think Big: Forging Your Own Path to Success!"
A Fireside Chat Featuring Jose Benitez Cong – Startup Founder & Formerly Talent Development for Apple, Nest & Google
(STOCKTON, CA – September 1, 2015) – iHub San Joaquin is proud to announce the 2nd event of the iHub San Joaquin Leadership Series, “Start Small, Think Big: Forging Your Own Path to Success”, featuring Jose Benitez Cong, a startup founder and formerly talent development for Apple, Nest and Google. The event will be held on Wednesday, September 30th at 5:00 p.m. at the Stockton Arena (248 W. Fremont Street) in The Record Press Club, located on the 3rd floor.
The public is invited to attend this interactive conversation to gain insightful perspective from a Silicon Valley executive who chose to leave the corporate talent development world to pursue his own startup company. The event will also feature local entrepreneurs, Jason Roth - CEO and founder of Tuleburg, a full service business development firm, along with Katie Macrae and Amy Sieffert - founders of the STOCKMARKET, the wildly successful indoor/outdoor makers market in Downtown Stockton.
“iHub was conceived to facilitate the success of entrepreneurship and small technology start-ups,” said Stockton Economic Development Director and iHub Board Member, Micah Runner. “These speakers come from three very diverse avenues of entrepreneurship, yet have each experienced the obstacles involved in starting a successful business. Our hope is that by sharing their experiences, we can inspire other entrepreneurs to continue with their pursuits.”
Micah Runner added that this event coincides directly with the City Council adopted Economic Development Strategic Plan. “One of the core initiatives of our Strategic Plan is focused on entrepreneurship and innovation programs, we see these two areas as essential components of comprehensive employment growth.”
This iHub San Joaquin Leadership Series event is sponsored by the City of Stockton, the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Huddle. The public is invited to attend this event free of charge and enjoy light refreshments. Visit www.ihubsj.eventbrite.com
