Location: Tracy, Calif.
A recently commissioned independent survey shows residents in the City of Tracy are highly satisfied with Tracy’s quality of life and the services the City provides. The Infrastructure Sustainability and Community Satisfaction Survey was conducted from March 19 through March 29, 2015 by the opinion research firm Godbe Research.
Respondents were pleased with Tracy’s quality of life with 76.5% rating that it is either “excellent” or “good.” Additionally, of those respondents who had come in direct contact with City staff, 82.5% gave staff “excellent” or “good” ratings on responsiveness.
“Tracy is a great place to live and raise a family,” said Tracy City Manager Troy Brown. “We are pleased that residents are happy with our community’s quality of life.”
Respondents were also highly satisfied with the services the City of Tracy provides. 73% of respondents indicated they were “very” or “somewhat” satisfied with the quality of service the City is providing. Among services, the City received high marks for public safety, including “fire and 9-1-1 emergency response” and “police patrol and crime fighting services,” as well as other non-public safety services such as “library hours and service” and “senior services and programs.”
The survey also showed that respondents viewed public safety, economic development, streets and roads, parks, and youth/teen recreation programs as priorities.
“City facilities and infrastructure such as city streets, roads, parks and recreation facilities are important to maintaining Tracy's quality of life services,” said Brown. “It’s important we continue to invest in our facilities and infrastructure, before they deteriorate and become more costly to fix in the future.”
