City of Tracy Hires New Administrative Services Director

Tracy City Manager, Troy Brown, will announce the selection of Rachelle McQuiston as Tracy’s new Administrative Services Director during the June 16, 2015 Tracy City Council meeting. McQuiston comes from Ridgecrest, California, where she currently serves as the Finance Director - bringing more than 24 years of municipal experience to the position.
“The selection process for this key executive position was very competitive, but Ms. McQuiston’s professional background and experience made her the top candidate,” stated Tracy City Manager, Troy Brown. “Ms. McQuiston will serve an integral role in moving some of the larger matters of the organization forward; overseeing the Finance, Human Resources and Information Systems divisions.”
McQuiston began working as the Finance Director for the City of Ridgecrest in 2013, overseeing the City’s financial operations, budget, and human resources division. She began her local government career in 1991 as an accountant for the Kern County Human Services Department. She steadily took on increased responsibility as an auditor for the Auditor Controller, Budget Accountant for General Services, Business Manager for Engineering and Surveying Services, and Administrative Services Officer for the Public Health Department.
Ms. McQuiston states,“I’m very excited about joining the dynamic senior management team and being a part of the vibrant Tracy community.”
Ms. McQuiston holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting concentration and a Master’s of Business Administration. She has taught Math, Finance, and Management for the University of Phoenix. She and her husband Jonathan have a blended family with six children.
Ms. McQuiston will begin her duties as the Administrative Services Director on July 6, 2015.
