Press Release

2014 Transportation Fair

Posted: Aug 26, 2014

Tracy, Calif. -  The City of Tracy Transportation Advisory Commission will hold  its third Transportation Fair at the Tracy Transit Station located on the corner of Central Avenue and Sixth Street on Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Representatives from the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Commute Connection, Greyhound, TRACER, California High-Speed Rail Authority and other regional transportation agencies will be present to deliver information, answer questions and explain the current and future projects aimed at increasing ridership. The fair will feature all modes of public transportation – including pedestrian, bicycling, vehicle, bus, and rail.

This year the event will be held in conjunction with the Taste of the Valley, Arts and Food Festival.  The TRACER Fixed Route will provide free rides all day Saturday in recognition of this event. Attendees for both the Transportation Fair and the Taste of the Valley can avoid the parking hassle by parking at various locations served by TRACER and riding the bus downtown.
