Reconnecting Our Youth Grant Cycle VI

The Mayor’s Community Youth Support Network (MCYSN), Reconnecting Our Youth Grant Program, Cycle 6 is now open. The sixth funding cycle is for fiscal year 2013-2014 and begins with the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking services in five (5) target areas. This 11-month funding cycle will begin in August 2013 and end June 2014. The five target areas:
- Youth Outreach and Education
- Substance abuse, prevention and education
- Bullying prevention (physical, verbal, cyber)
- Alternative After-School & Evening Youth Activities
- Gang Prevention & Intervention Services
- Family or Individual Youth Case Management
- Behavioral Health Services – Prevention and Intervention ONLY
Deadline to submit an RFQ application is July 16, 2013.
The MCYSN effort is an innovative, proactive strategy to address youth issue in a holistic way (Prevention, Intervention & Suppression) and from a multi-disciplinary approach that includes City, Police, County agencies, Schools, Community Non-profits, Faith-based organizations, and youth services stakeholders. The Reconnecting Our Youth Grants Program is a way to formalize our partnerships with local service providers and the programs that are aimed at reconnecting youth to their families, schools, and services while expanding opportunities for youth and their families
