World Series Trophy Arriving in Tracy

Tracy, Calif.The 2012 World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants are bringing their 2010 and 2012 champions trophies on a public tour. The trophies will arrive in Tracy on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Tracy City Hall.
 
The San Francisco Giants in partnership with their Junior Giants Leagues offers the Tracy community an opportunity to view and take photos with the trophies while showing support for the Junior Giants Baseball League.
 
Tracy’s viewing, held on Wednesday, March20, 2013 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm is on a first come, firstserved basis in front of the City of Tracy City Hall building, located at 333 Civic Center Plaza. The line will be open to the public starting at 10:00am. Camping out the night before to insure a spot in line is not permitted. Anyone found doing so will be asked to vacate the area and come back when the line is open.
 
A Giants Fan Photos member will be available to take professional photos of fans with the trophies. The photos will be available on-line and in-person for purchase. Additionally, concessions will be available for purchase provided by the Breakfasts Lions Club of Tracy. Attendees will also have an opportunity to enter into a drawing for four tickets to a 2013 San Francisco Giants game along with other sports memorabilia. There will also be a children’s activity area on the plaza with face painting, the Giants Memorabilia Truck and Junior Giants information.
 
Public Parking is available in Downtown Tracy at the Tracy Transit Station on 6th Street and Central Ave. Please avoid parking in the private parking lots. Those in violation of the parking ordinance are subject to be cited and towed. Signs will be posted around City Hall informing the public of where to park. There will be an information booth present in front of City Hall for any questions the day of the event. For more info, call 831-6200.
