Membership, Qualifications and Residency Requirements

One member appointed to serve at the pleasure of City Council.


The term of office shall be two years or four years, at the discretion of City Council.




Take all necessary steps for the extermination of mosquitoes and abatement of their breeding places throughout the District, while conforming to all California Government Codes applicable to public agencies. Board is primarily the overall policy-making body for the District and sets its goals and objectives.

Meeting Date and Location

The Tuesday immediately preceding the 20th of each month.

January 28, 2016 - The San Joaquin County Mosquito Abatement District consists of not less than five members.  One member is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to represent the county-at-large.  One member each is appointed by the incorporated cities within the district wholly or part.  The City of Tracy has opened a recruitment to fill a vacancy on the San Joaquin County Mosquito Abatement District Board.   Below is the vacancy notice and application.  The recruitment will close on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 5:00 p.m.
