COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE
FOR MID-YEAR ALLOCATION
September 12, 2012 (TRACY, CA) - The City of Tracy has Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Applications available now for a mid-year allocation.
The City of Tracy has $444,183.40 of CDBG funds available from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the general purpose of assisting low and moderate income persons by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and for expanding economic opportunity.
The funds available for this mid-year allocation are for projects in the Public Facilities category. These funds are not available for projects in the Public Services category.
To be considered for funding, proposed eligible activities must meet one of HUD's National objectives: benefit to low income persons, address a slum or blighted condition or address an urgent need (life, health, safety).
An application for CDBG funds can be obtained from the City of Tracy’s Development Services Department at 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA, by calling (209) 831-6429, or at the City’s website: http://www.ci.tracy.ca.us/?navid=534.
A public meeting to answer questions regarding the CDBG application process will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall Conference Room 109, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA.
Return completed applications by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 to the attention of Scott Claar, Development Services Department, City of Tracy, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA 95376.
