Posted: Jun 22, 2012

(Tracy, CA) - Old Time Rock and Roll 50s and 60s combined with the Taste of Tracy will dazzle residents, Americana Style on Friday, June 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Downtown Plaza located at the corner 6th Street and Central Avenue.

Residents can put on their “Blue Suede Shoes” and dance the night away as The Dave Crimmen Band takes the stage with a live concert. Dave is a Rockabilly artist from the San Francisco Bay Area who credits his style to the legendary Elvis Presley, Little Richard and other great artists from Sun Records in Memphis.

Dave’s success is because of his love for the good time feel of 50’s Rock 'n Roll and good old fashioned hard work. His hard work he has developed a noteworthy live show. Alma Thompson a Tracy resident who attended many Block Parties last year said, “I enjoyed the Block Parties. They have good music, dancing, and great socializing. It is very relaxing and just fun! I can hardly wait to enjoy the Rock ‘n Roll one!”

Adding to the tune of the night is the annual Taste of Tracy. This is a great opportunity to sample foods from local restaurants in Tracy. Drinks will be available for purchase as well.

The Downtown Block Party Series will continue throughout the summer. The series is a partnership between the City of Tracy and Tracy City Center Association for all Tracy community members.
